Have Dice, Finally Traveling
It's been a long four months, with a wide variety of trials and challenges. But I am finally getting on the road, starting with Salt Lake City this weekend and heading up to the Northwest. The greatest challenge is time... I have more intriguing invitations than I can get to in the amount of time I have available, so I'm having to roll the dice to figure out where to go. There's an excellent chance I'll end up passing through some areas twice, so if I miss you the first time, hopefully I can catch up with you on the second round.

Most of the trip I'll be dealing with small groups of people, but I am hitting a number of conventions along the way. So, a few places you can catch me:

KublaCon
May 22-25
Burlingame, CA

A-Kon
May 29-31

I really enjoyed your Villains of Eberron seminar last year at GenCon! Are you planning to do any this year, or just enjoying the con?
Keith Bakergloomforge on April 22nd, 2009 04:49 am (UTC)
At the moment, it's up to WotC. I'm sure there will be some sort of Eberron seminars, but I don't know what. And I'll certainly be doing a "hang out & talk with Keith night".

Make a trip out to the East Coast, man. We are woefully unloved.
Keith Bakergloomforge on April 22nd, 2009 04:50 am (UTC)
I'll be on the east sometime around November.

Well, that's definitely cool to hear. Hopefully, it'll be somewhere I can make it out to.

Hey as long as we're home, you have a home in November.

Hugs and Howls!

Do you have your schedule finalized yet?

I'm assuming you won't still be through Missouri in May due to the delay, but either way we'd still love to have you come through Springfield :-)

Keep us informed in the journey :) Are you going to set up a twitter or just the normal blogposts?

And where is the international calendar?

A-Kon
Keith,

Could you provide info on what you are doing for A-kon in Dallas? Any details information would be really appreciated. The con’s website is sorta lacking on the details :-\

Re: A-Kon
Hi April! I'm still discussing my schedule with the organizers. I'll post my schedule here as soon as I know what it is. Aside from scheduled events, if I have any open time Friday night I'll probably look for a good place to hang out for a while where anyone who wants to talk can find me. If anyone knows the area, please feel free to offer suggestions for a good informal gathering place!

Re: A-Kon
Most space that can be use as an informal gathering place is usually taken at A-kon by people doing just that.

The best place would be the food court in the lower level of the Westin building, if it is open.

Next suggestion is ask the local RPGA'er if they have a table you can use. The RPGA's event room is in a central location, Press Club on the second floor of the Sheraton Hotel.

The table top(board, card and ccg) room this year is in the Cambridge room on the Westin first level. I am not expecting them to have much extra space this year. Plus, this is a new location.

If you have a Komik market table, you could have people meet there.

note: anyone attendee A-kon should bring a camera with lots of "film".

Re: A-Kon
Keith,
I am also interested in meeting you at A-Kon, but I probably won't reserve a hotel room and drive the 3+ hours to attend unless plans can be made more firm.
(I've just been burned by going to cons where games don't happen, and thus I don't have much fun.)
When you have a better idea about what you'll be doing, anything would be appreciative. (Esp. if you are running a game or two.)
Thanks a ton.

If you find yourself in northern California or plan on traveling anywhere between San Fransisco and Oregon, and have a hole in your schedule, I'd be more than happy to give you my futon for a night (or three).

I'm here in Ukiah and just starting my first game DMing in Eberron and it would be fantastic to have you run a session, play in mine, or hang out. Shoot me an email w0nkothesane (at) hotmail (dot) com if you find a place in your schedule.
