Life goes on...
Hey everyone!

It's been a while since my last post. I've been focused on my fifth novel, as the deadline is less than a week away; once I get over that hill I'll have more time for posting. This novel is the second book in the Thorn of Breland series, the first of which is coming out in November. While it's not directly linked to The Dreaming Dark, all I'll say is that by the end of 2009, you should have answers to some of the questions left hanging in The Gates of Night.

In other news, the online publication of the Tower of Gygax is still in a holding pattern. Gen Con has the files, and they are checking with Wizards of the Coast to ensure that there's no legal roadblock to posting them. If all moves forward, the Tower should be available as a free download in the near future. I'll certainly post the news here as soon as there is news to report.

Other than that, I have an article on Gnolls coming out in this month's issue of Dragon and a backdrop on the city of Graywall coming out early next month. And I just saw the box art for the next Gloom expansion, so hopefully that will be off to the presses soon.

Now back to the book!

Oooh, Thorn of Breland sounds good just from the title! I'm looking forward to it. :)

Well I can not wait for the Stone Queen.

Is there Zilargo gnomes? Please tell me there are Zilargo gnomes. Maybe even as one of the main characters? Or villains? Oooh! I know. To clear up all the misconceptions and whatnot that you've already covered a zillion times, just make it a lycanthropic Silver Flame worshipping Trust gnome. You can roll 'em all into one.

But seriously, I love Zilargo gnomes.

Without giving anything away that isn't already mentioned in the Amazon description, the story is set in Droaam. There is a small appearance by Zil gnomes, but less I'm afraid than in, say, City of Towers. However, Kesh is in luck, because there's certainly lots of gnolls.

I like Eberron gnolls too. Gnolls and gnomes and gnus, oh my!

I am soooo looking forward to the article on gnolls. I'm a gnoll freak. :)

I've been waiting for you to mention Gloom so I'd have an excuse to link:

Is this the rough draft of your new book?

Can't wait until November. This might be the first time I pick up a novel since.... The Gates of Night released. >_>

I don't think I've been seriously disappointed with anything Eberron yet. Yes, there were those times it was sketchy (like Races of Eberron), but hey, awesome work regardless. I'm looking foward to 4E Eberron, and Dragon Forge was righteously awesome.

Really looking forward to your new books. I really enjoyed The Dreaming Dark series.

I also enjoyed the Ages of Eberron panel that you did at Gen Con. It gave me a great idea for a story arc in the 3.5 Eberron campaign that I'm running. During that panel, you mentioned a Mark of Heroes module that you wrote (Delirium Stone, I believe) as an example of how to handle a "time travel" campaign. I've tried to track down that module for inspiration, without any success. Any idea how I might get my hads on a copy.

I don't know, but I'll poke the RPGA and see what I can find out. I like the adventure, and it would be nice for people to have access to it.
